Cheryl Fraser, owner of Zilberschmuck Art-Jewellery, Toronto, is proud to present the winners and selected entries for “Quotation”, March 26th to May 6th, 2006.

In September 2005 jewellers and metalsmiths from across Canada were invited to explore the formal and conceptual manifestations of the words and substance of a famous quote, of their choice, that inspired them emotionally and intellectually.

A record 89 entries were submitted by 69 artists from across the country, from Bay Bulls, Newfoundland to 100 Mile House, British Columbia.

Juried this past Sunday March 12th, 2006 (by judges Niki Kavakonis, past president of the Metal Arts Guild of Canada, Russell Smith, author and style writer for the Globe and Mail, and Ken Vickerson, associate professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design), Cheryl Fraser would like to congratulate the award winners, thank all the artists who entered, and especially thank the Sponsors of the awards for their generosity.
